Sometimes its nice to sneak away with just my wife and go relax down at the beach, and with the weather being so perfect it would be a crime to not do so. With a cooler of drinks and our shades in place we descended upon Kona beach with the intentions of doing nothing but relaxing in the shade as the waves kiss the shore.

Todays outfit is mostly from a little store I have recently come across, flow. While there isn't much there right now, the last few times I have visited it seems to be growing, with a nice collection of liquid mesh clothing starting to appear. The tshirt I am wearing was part of a promotion they were apart of and for only 49L$ I suggest you all go and get it before the promotion ends. The shorts as well are flow but not liquid mesh, still worth every linden I paid for them (I ended up buying 4 pairs in fact) they come in a huge variety of colours so there is something for everyone's taste.

Now that I have a computer that can competently run  SL and take half decent photos I plan to be taking all my own photos from now on, thank you to everyone who helped me in the past.

Before I get started Id like to take the opportunity to thank my wonderful family for all their support over the last week, with my computer broken and a few weeks until I can buy myself a new one it certainly has not been easy. This post itself took a lot of work from a lot of people to put together, so again thank you to my wonderful family, and even though he will likely never see it, a big thanks to my roommate for the use of his computer.

FINALLY, after what seems like a winter that was never going to end the sun has decided it was time to put in an appearance  so its time to put away all your sweaters, jumpers and thick heavy clothes, so of course that means its time to go out and buy a new wardrobe of clothes for the coming months. The only real question was where do I start with all my spending. I decided to go out and find my self a complete outfit, so all the clothes I'm wearing are making their first appearance on the mancave (the chinos HAVE appeared in other colours). The pale blue shirt (Lake) comes from FATEwear, and comes in 3 styles (closed, partially open and open) and is available in a range of colours, so its easy to find one to match any outfit you want to put together, defiantly a must have for this coming season. The pants are from 8F8 another design Ive mentioned a few times before, I'm always impressed with how well they work with almost everything I have, available as a fatpack of 5 colours or singlely for only 75L$ its worth getting the demo and trying them out.

No outfit is complete of course without the right pair of shoes, so imagine how impressed I was when I came across these smart brown shoes by Jeepers Shoes for Men. Unlike the FATEwear and 8F8 this is the first time I have tried and used their products, and if these shoes are anything to go by it wont be the last. Shoes are something I always struggle to find, especially at a low cost, and so when I saw these I felt like I had no choice but to get them. They give of a perfect smart yet casual feel and complement the rest of my outfit perfectly to finish off my look. Defiantly worth checking out the in world store, as well as the other two places of course.

I normally change my outfit quite regularly but I have been wearing this one for a while now, there is something about it I just love. Once again, Redgrave delivered. these jeans are quite possibly the last pair of jeans I will ever need to own. Thanks to the wonders of Liquid mesh these jeans are one size fits all meaning no more messing round finding the right size to fit, you just slap on the pair you like and adjust your shape to fit. Its a lot like wearing system pants..but with the added bonuses of them not looking like you have been dipped in denim paint, and no more of the fiddly add-on sculpt cuffs, and with this pack coming in 3 colours for just 350L$ you really cant go wrong. As for the shirt, the mesh work on it is just beautiful, but then what else would you expect from kal rau, while it is a little pricey at 420L$ it comes with a neat little texture change hud for the cuffs and collar.

Its nice to find a quite spot where you can just sit and collect your thoughts, and this sim is perfect for that, so tranquil and peaceful I just couldn't wait to escape to here. Without hesitation I threw off my suit and donned something a little more casual, a comfortable pair of black jeans rolled up to the knee and a well work red plaid t shirt from Kal Raul, giving me that much required freedom from the world of hustle and bustle as I roll up my jeans and sit with my feet in the water breathing in the weekend. Hours pass in mere moments as the day escapes me and the sun fades away, so peaceful.

Come rain or shine, I still need to work hard to provide for my beautiful wife, and wonderful family. When this downpour started luckily I was not caught off guard with the weather being so temperamental lately I have decided its best to always carry an umbrella around with me to and from work, and a good thing to. This suit is made by MoMo l'enchantement, Couture Française et Italienne (MoMo for short), it comes in a very professional grey color and a nice set of default colors for the shirt/tie alternatively you can purchase packs of other colors at very small cost. The mesh suit and shirt combo I am wearing here comes it at just under 200L$ and is well worth the money spent.

After what can only be described as a busy, fun and expensive week I finally make my way back to my secret base...the Mancave, and by secret I mean My wife had already ready gotten there before me and was using it as a roller rink to try out her new skates.

After spending 5 minutes chasing her round my mancave trying to figure out how she found her way here, I finally talked her into helping me set up the rest of my gacha loot.

Woohoo 3064 Points!!

First there was the Bloki the machine, this was my first real WANT from the gacha arcade event so when my good friend Nadya won one, you can imagine how happy I was when she gave it to me. In my opinion Scarlet Apple has done a great job with this playable machine, and overall has one of the most fun machines at the entire event.

Say cheese!!

Again, another good showing by Scarlet Apple, here we have the photo booth, a nice item, well made, and fun to play around with. If you dont have one of these for yourself then they are scatted around the outside along the pier of the arcade event for you to go look at, defiantly worth checking out.

Its alot smaller in here than I expected

Another item I was desperate to get my hands on was this blue phone box from floorplan, and thanks to a few good trades I was able to finally make it mine. While it serves no real purpose it looks dam cool standing in the corner of my mancave.

aaaaaaaaand relax

After 3 days of non stop shopping and trading its nice to finally sit down and relax with a nice book, and what better place to do it than my newly constructed reading corner. While none of these items are rare, some of them were defiantly hard to come by and its easy to see why. These spot lamps from the Trompie Loeli gacha machine are just amazing, they fit so perfectly into the room. The Bibliotheque chair by Alouette, while not rare, comes in a variety of of colours and some are sought after alot more than others, so depending on what your looking it for may be easy to find the one for you. The art on the wall and the pouf are once again brought to you by Scarlet Apple. They are pretty easy to pick up at most yard sales the art comes in 3 styles, and the pouf comes with a texture script that has 3 looks too. They add the perfect little finishing touches to my reading corner. 

Because my wife was kind enough to let me keep the plushies, I decided to try get her some stuff that she would like to repay the favor . With the help of a few good friends and family,  lots of bartering, trading and attempts at the Tee'fy and Tres Blah gacha machines at the arcade we were able to complete her Tea time set and Ice Cream party set.

Not everything in the photos is part of the arcade event. A big thank you to Nadya and Brie for helping me make my wife very happy.

So my wife decided to raid the Intrigue.Co plushie gacha at the arcade for gifts to give to the nieces and nephews. Sadly for the kids I saw them first so now they are mine mine mine!! They are all so very cute, very well made and the level of detail gone into each one is just amazing. Each one comes with a small back story written as a poem, and tell you when they were born.

With SL screwing with my inventory/outfits its tough for me right now, not being able to change without some dramatic error is frustrating. Luckily the arcade came along today to take my mind off it. Problem is..I wasn't the only person that wanted to go there today. So after I tried and tried people kept telling me to give up and wait. Being the Taurus I am, I am as stubborn as they come, and so I tried...and tried, and tried till eventually SUCCESS,t me and my 7 year old, windows XP running computer got in. Whilst not being able to enjoy it fully due to graphical limitations I made the best of it and had some fun any way.

Its been a pretty rubbish few days for a few of us now, but we cant let that get us down, and we are doing everything thing we can to band to together as a family and make each other happy. So you can imagine how awesome I felt when my friend Brie told me she felt I was really special...she even brought me some awesome gifts. I was so excited I had to blog about them right away!!

Sometimes as a husband and father I need to venture out of my mancave and spend time with the family, this was one such time. Catching me unaware my daughter asks me to come to her toy room and play stuffed animals with her. Any man can hide away in his man cave, but a real man isn't afraid to get on his knees and play with a stuffed animal for his daughters amusement.

The wife and daughter have gone of to shop, leaving me the perfect opportunity to sneak back to my man cave and get in some time on one of my favorite toys, my drum kit. A Christmas gift from my daughter that keeps on giving. Reminding me of all my childhood dreams of wanting to be a rock star, when in reality I know as soon as I'm done its time to do the dishes before the wife realises I've been slacking off all afternoon...shhhhh, its out secret ;)
